The Esperanca Farm of the Cerrado Mineiro sits in a region defined by well marked seasons, ideal climate balance and high altitudes, ideal for growing excellent coffee, and has been a part of the landscape there since the 1990's.  Over the decades it has developed into a cornerstone of coffee production in the region, thanks to it's current steward Deyvid Leandro.  Deyvid grew up surrounded by coffee, and at ten years old was working alongside his grandfather, learning the rhythms of the land before he understood the language of the market.  Harvest was not an event, it was life.  Selective picking, drying patios, the smell of fresh parchment under the sun —these were his early classrooms.  Today Deyvid carries forward the discipline he inherited, but with a specialty mindset.  His work reflects a producer who understands that Brazilian coffee can, and should, be positioned at the highest quality tier globally.  Precision in harvesting, careful drying protocols and a deep respect for the land define the farm’s philosophy and their focus on quality, innovation and transparency.  His hard work and dedication has earnt him multiple Cup of Excellence Brazil awards.

The Cerrado Mineiro region has become known for producing consistent clean, naturally sweet coffees, with balanced acidity and clarity, and this coffee from Esperanca is of no exception.  After harvesting the coffee cherries were carefully dried on patios under controlled conditions, with a focus on airflow and timing.

The Brazil Esperanca from Deyvid Leandro carries a refined sweetness, gentle florals with a crisp bright citric finish.  We love that we are tasting sweet notes of caramel, molasses and honey.
